Our cozy 1850 sq ft. family cabin is large enough for the whole family for a vacation or an outdoors adventurists' get together. Our 4-season chalet has 3 Bedrooms, Loft, and a Den with 10 beds and 2 full Baths. Only 11 minutes East of Manning Park Resort, the property is approx. 1/2 acre of S.W. exposure and fronts 240 feet of the crystal clear Similkameen River with private, sandy beach access. Enjoy your StayByTheRiver and experience the river, forest, and mountains in a private setting.

**When campfire bans are in effect, you will need to bring propane (we do not supply for the Propane Fire Pit)

Extra Notes

PAYMENTS

We ask for a 50% deposit at time of booking and the balance no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. A $500 damage deposit is due 7 days prior to arrival and will be returned no later than 7 days after departure.

PETS

We love and allow pets, however, additional fees for all 4 legged companions will be applied at a rate of $20/night per pets. Pets must be kept out of carpeted bedrooms, furniture, and must be on leash or in a kennel when left unattended.

Please be respectful of this policy so we do not regret our decision of being pet friendly. We do reserve the right to charge an extra cleaning fee if this pet policy is not respected.

CANCELLATION

We will refund you half of your rental fees if you change your mind within 4 weeks of your arrival, but if you do within 2 weeks, you will forfeit the full payment.

During the Christmas/New Year holiday, Spring break, and long weekends, if you change your mind within 8 weeks of your arrival, we will refund half of your rental fees, but if you do within 4 weeks, you will forfeit the full payment.

LENGTH OF STAY

On a regular weekend, we ask that you’d spend 2 nights or more with us and on long weekends, 3 nights minimum.

Although we encourage weekly rentals during summer months, Christmas/New Year holiday as well as Spring Break, we will consider shorter stay on a case-by- case basis.

Our visit turned into a perfect escape at the Similkameen Chalet, where we unplugged and soaked in the breathtaking mountain views. The property offers a convenient parking area (we had 3 vehicles), a spacious private backyard, and an outdoor firepit by the Similkameen River, enhancing the natural beauty. The Chalet accommodated our larger group of 8 adults, 1 baby, and 2 small dogs and provided enough separate hangout areas, both indoors and outdoors. It's impeccably clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully furnished, including a well-equipped kitchen (we made Christmas dinner in that kitchen twice). The wood-burning fireplace adds a very cozy touch, making the entire house inviting. We enjoyed restful nights on quality beds & bedding in the serene quietness. Our stay over Christmas was extra special with hosts Connie & Rob adding festive decorations and a charming Christmas tree. Their friendliness and helpfulness made our stay memorable. We highly recommend the Similkameen Chalet for a wonderful getaway.

Lots to do in Manning Park & the Surrounding Area

The quiet, Eastgate community is located about 10 minutes from Manning Park Resort. Made up of mostly recreational vacation homes, there is a gas station with a small convenience store as well as a campground nearby. The roads in the neighborhood are paved and level, a beautiful place for a casual bike ride, with 2 public access points to the river. The nearby Forestry Service Roads offer endless options for hiking and spectacular views.
